Sherlock Holmes

Sherlock Holmes is the most iconic figure in the Mystery genre of literature. Most young boys grow up reading the man who was so perceptive nothing escaped his notice. Plus, where would we be without the phrase, "Elementary my dear Watson"? However, this is not exactly the Sherlock Holmes you get from Guy Ritchie. The Holmes we are presented is a little grubbier than what we might imagine, and quite a bit tougher. Does this mean that Ritchie strays too far from his source material? I don't think...

Avatar is the latest epic from James Cameron. This movie is a massive film with a wide scope, but does it fall short because of that? I'd say that it does buckle under its own weight by the end of the movie. We're given a picture of mankind looking to outer space for it's natural resources. The only problem is that the Na'vi live on Pandora, and they just happen to...

I first heard of this film 3 years ago while still in highschool and when I was still awkward with the girls. Okay I still am but that’s not the point, the point is that this film is very close to my heart. A...

Anyone who has ever been fired must see “Up In The Air.” Jason Reitman has done it again. The director of “Thank You For Smoking” and “Juno” puts real life out there in an incredible way, where we all laugh and then walk out of the theatre thinking about what is really important. A film with a message that’s entertaining: what a concept.

George Clooney plays Ryan Bingham, a man that flies all over the country firing people for companies that d...
