On Black Friday I stood in line at Walmart with all the bargain barbarians to get my hands on a DS Lite finally. I've put off getting a DS because to me I just wasn't interested enough in the minigames to pay 150+ for the system to play them on, especially with an iPhone that plays similar games. The novelty of the iPhone games wears off quick because most control schemes just don't work well for the games. The DS however has a unique and usable control system, depending on the game. I usually just use the physical buttons and D-pad to control the games, but the second screen does give you the ability to have extra control and functions that buttons just don't allow, like drawing or writing without a keyboard.

I've got two games for it so far, Pokemon Platinum edition and Lock's Quest and will be writing reviews for them in the next couple of days. Things are busy with just finishing midterms it seems and now it's already coming up on finals. This may make reviews sparse, but that doesn't mean there isn't anything worth reading here.
